Pineapple Express

I’ve to confess that when I first saw the trailers for this movie I was going to wait for it to come out to and rent to see it. Didn’t saw its potential. We went in to see it just because it was the one at the time we got to the theater after spending 30min looking for a parking spot. Downtown Disney was packed and getting a parking was a mission but we made it. Originally we went to see Mamma Mia but like I said we didn’t made it.

Honestly I can’t explain Pineapple Express. You just HAVE to see it. DO NOT underestimate the power of this movie, PLEASE. If you enjoy getting high you will love this film. I myself don’t use any of that shit but the movie is great makes you feel right on the trip while watching. Be prepare, try to eat before entering the theater cause you might not be able to eat at all or worst if you do you might spill it on yourself while laughing. It is extremely hilarious. I read somewhere that the trailers don’t make justice to how really funny the movie is and that is so true.

The actors did a great job developing the characters. They all have their own spot and own it. James Franco owns this movie all the way demonstrating he is capable of playing different roles. The script is great and on your way back home you will probably try to remember all of it to make fun of it. The movie goes for 111min. Written by Seth Rogen [who also plays Dale Denton] and Evan Goldberg. Directed by David Gordon Green.

  1. GREAT FLICK! After viewing the trailer for Pineapple Express, I was very enthusiastic, but skeptical. The momentum that Seth Rogen & Judd Apatow have had, for a suspiciously long time now, by traditional standards, would indicate a catastrophic flop is coming in the near future. However, there are, occasionally, instances in life in which some things, for whatever reason, do not go terribly wrong/become corrupted.

I did exercise extreme caution before seeing the film, consciously curbing my expectations. Ultimately, it didn't make any difference. Once Franco's blood-red slushy splatters over the cop's windshield, nobody worth a damn can help being actively amused. It's [Pineapple Express] a good time.

Still need to see Tropic Thunder, though.

  2. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! me and my co-workers are betting money on a specific scene in this movie. In the scene about 3 quarters into the movie right before seth rogan is crying with his girlfriend on the payphone, in the backround there is a playground and for about 2 seconds it shows a woman and a child painting. I have $100 in bets out saying that that woman is Uma Thurman. I need definitive proof; she is not in the credits, but neither is the “Woman with Child” or “Teacher Painting”, ect. She was at the premier, even though that doesn’t really matter all that much. IF SOMEONE HAS PROOF THAT THAT IS UMA, PLEASE RESPOND! THANK YOU!
